A little finish for Friday

So I have been doing some little bits of sewing - here is one finish.

One finished zipper pouch

One of the girls at work did me a favour, so I thought I would make her a wee thank you gift. Hubby found some lovely treats to go with it. I suspect they have come from my yummy bath treats stash in the spare bathroom, which will be frustrating when my body wash runs out. So if I start to smell bad, blame him.

I used the measurements from the Noodlehead zipper pouch tutorial, but inserted the zip using this tutorial. I like being able to use a little snippet of something cute by the zip, but next time would have a fabric with more contrast.  I like how tidy the zip is this way, so I'm pretty sure I'll do it again.

Ahoy there me hearties

I took the photo at the top, but realised I needed more on the way to work. The others were taken in the rush hour crawl to the traffic lights. Here is my little tag, which I have recently had printed at this Etsy shop. It has washing instructions on the back, so I can use them for quilts.

Belle & Boo fabric from Spotlight

The navy spots are from Riley Blake, but the other two fabrics are from Spotlight, and I thought were surprisingly good quality for them. I think this little couple are pretty cute!  The lining is a pale blue with other cute bits and pieces on it.

Hugs in the woods.  Something Princess will not be allowed to do.

Linking up to Crazy Moms, TGIFF and Confessions of a Fabric Addict. I guess I will pick the prizes for my birthday pressies (see my last posts) on Sunday or Monday, so now is your last chance to share in the Shush birthday love!  I am beginning to get birthday fatigue, because it was hubby's birthday yesterday, and the Wee Man turns one on Monday. But after Monday, we are done for the year, and then we can relax!

Have a lovely weekend!

Love the zipper pouch! Great fabric!! Every once and a while I think I should do something smaller to feel like I've accomplished something.. but then I never get around to it.
Everyone's birthday's are so close!! We recently learned our second has the same due date as our first! I really hope they don't end up sharing a birthday!!

Gorgeous!! I love the fabrics, will have to check out spotlight next time I am going past (I am 5 minutes away from Spotlight which is a pretty dangerous thing!). Have you tried Noodlehead's Wide Open pouch? I am so in love with it, you just open the zip all the way and leave it open until you have completely finished the pouch and the zipper pull doesn't get in the way at all!

so many birthdays so close together! My youngest turned 7 this week - can't believe it! Cute pouch - that fabric is just gorgeous. I was able to get to Spotlight in Singapore and was so tempted by the Snugglepie and Cuddlepot fabric, but didn't give in and break my fast! Spotlight does have some surprises sometimes!

Adorable fabric and great pouch! I'm sure she loved it! And also, I didn't get around to wishing you a happy Birthday on Tuesday but I did spare you a few thoughts - hope it was O for Awesome x

Oh, that's such a cute zipper pouch! I have yet to meet a single person who doesn't need one of those, and doesn't appreciate them. It's a very nice thank you gift.

well, it's a good thing you have all those stoplights to crawl through on the way to work, or I might never hear from you!

hurray for all the bdays and hurray for them all being done. celebrating a lot can be tiresome. =) hope you all had lovely year turns!

Adorable! I love these belle and boo prints for Spotlight. I bought oodles of the boy print - wishing I had bought more of this print too! Where in NZ are you? I am in Wellington :)
